The Fabulous FitzHenrys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the news.

The ebooks of The Fabulous FitzHenrys are available.

The first one - The Wedding - is just £1.77

It's been in the writing since 2017.

Family Saga

The novel is a family saga.

A novel about an ancient family and their friends - and enemies!

Remember those sagas? They were massively common in the seventies. Shirley Conran? Jackie Collins?

I'm sure you can add your own memories.

Don't worry. I've broken it down into...

Three Lovely Ebooks

Bookshelf Paperback

I showed you all a truly beautiful piece of work the other day, by Debbie at The Cover Collection, but it's not ready yet and I am going to do something special with that in early September. It's also bloody expensive so let me sort that out for you.

You have got to own this book somehow as it is just sublime. If you are an author friend of mine, I'd seriously consider getting on to Debbie's waiting list. The work she does is tremendous.

The Cover Collection

I want the Bookshelf Edition to be a reward for those who've supported me since 2012, when I started the publishing business. And there have been quite a few who have stuck it out and I appreciate you beyond words xx. Thank you.

Writers...

The years since 2016 have been a bit shite for me.

In that time, I've faced Brexit (sob), five Prime Ministers (all bollocks), a world at war and a catastrophic world pandemic.  I've buried two beloved parents and lost a successful business. I've experienced the painful relegation of my beloved football club to the National League, lost the sight in my left eye, have married, and been divorced by, the same person, and have left Nottingham, which is important as The City is the source for much of my work.

I'm a completely different person from the person who started writing the book, which is weird.

Up Up and Away

Yet, I've never written a more positive book. Let me assure you of that.

It's a romp.

Love that word.

A romp involving a venerable old family and a romp through British history and culture.

The Fabulous FitzHenrys is easy to read, fun, involving, upbeat,  entertaining and positive.

A Beach Read

On a holiday recently to Gran Canaria, I read The Goldfinch in a week and that was the type of thing in my mind when I wrote this.  It's meant for the beach, sunbeds by the pool and long days under the sun. Remember those books?

Oh and there are loads of EASTER EGGS throughout the book to keep you interested, including the reappearance of one of my most popular characters. If you like books with hidden messages that the author may or may not have intended etc, then this is for you.

So. What's The Book About?

Summer, the hottest for years, but it’s all going wrong for one of Great Britain’s most historic families.

The family's father is in a terminal coma and a shock living will needs to be read.

His long-suffering wife wants a divorce.

His ex, living under the same roof, cannot wait.

The family business, headed by his daughter Natasha, is under attack from a corporate raider. As if that pressure isn't enough, someone needs to find her estranged sister, missing for over six years.  And that someone needs to find her quickly.

And, last, but not least, their brother, a loveable rascal released early from prison - just in time for the wedding of his ex-lover, about to marry his deadliest rival.

Three weeks worth of chaos. That could be all it takes to bring down a beloved dynasty.

With the help of a disillusioned gangster, a novice private detective and a champion racehorse, can the FitzHenrys survive?

“Written for lovers of family sagas, long books, comedy, action, drama, colourful characters, conversation, stories within stories, and those great beach novels of the seventies, The Fabulous FitzHenrys  welcome you aboard.

How You Can Help Me

If you are a friend of mine on FB, or are from my adopted town of Ripley, or a Notts fan, the partner of a Notts fan, or someone who knew me when I was good (that's a Stewart Lee joke btw), or someone who knew me back in the day, please download BOOK 1: The Wedding on Amazon UK. That's important as I have an exclusive deal with those.

The ebook is £1.77 to download.

If I am still in touch with you, I'll buy you a cuppa etc when I see you again. This isn't about the money.

If you can download it on to your phone, tablet or laptop, then you can RATE it quickly. Just leave a star rating. You can rate the cover, the blurb, the first chapter, it's layout, it's format, the hunt for the easter eggs, anything.

It's ace nowadays. Readers don't have to write anything. They can just read!!

I need...

Twenty Five Ratings

If I get 25 ratings, I can pay for advertising and get the Fabulous FitzHenrys out there into the wild.

It opens up a few other organs too, such as Bookbub, later in the year.

And I am getting behind this big time. Just watch me.

Love, Wiz xx
